LCQ Fleet is integrated with 2D - nano LC/MS/MS system (ThermoFisher, USA)
The LCQ Fleet is integrated with 2D - nano LC/MS/MS system (ThermoFisher, USA) for mudPIT/ quantitative proteomic analysis.
MudPIT or multi-dimensional LC/MS/MS analysis is a powerful technique to identify proteins in a complex mixture (such as a cell lysate, purified organelle fraction, tissue or biological fluids such as serum and plasma) that would overwhelm the normal reverse phase LC/MS/MS analysis. MudPIT can also be an alternative to 2D gel electrophoresis for separating complex mixtures of proteins. The MudPIT technique utilizes a single LC column with strong cation exchange (SCX) material and a standard reversed phase (RP) material. MudPIT requires at least 500 to an mg of total protein, depending on sample complexity.
The LCQ Fleet MS system with CID/PQD in targeted with Dionex U 3000 nano 2D LC system that provides rapid and confident sample analysis for routine quantitative proteomics applications. Pulsed Q Dissociation (PQD) can be used for the detection of low mass fragments for iTRAQ™ analysis during protein quantitation analysis.
