Members of the Redox Biology Center often mentor undergraduate students in independent research. Students are encouraged to contact faculty members directly to discuss possible research opportunities.
The Undergraduate Creative Activities and Research Experiences (UCARE) program supported by the Office of Academic Affairs and funded by the Pepsi Endowment, is a program that creates intellectual partnerships between the University of Nebraska faculty and undergraduates by providing funds for research.
The Redox Biology Center offers a summer research experience for Undergraduates. Areas of research include:
- Molecular medicine
- Environmental biochemistry
- Plant biochemistry
The ten week program offers free on campus housing and meal plan as well as a generous research stipend. Applications for the 2012 program will be available in late fall 2011.
